A1GP results.
Basically, it goes like this.
Because of his championship challenging position, Asp desided that there should be an element of impartiality present in the final round. This is where things go wrong. He asked me do to it. *BUM BUM BUM* Anyway, heavy workload, software issues, and a week later, I present to you the thrilling conclusion to the championship. As regards the round itself, Paddockman claimed his first event victory. Shame it happened at the end.
Overall then - second placed man Mekola didn't empty this round, so fell back a long way - even falling behind strider (equal on points) based on the number of round wins. And if you need proof it was close - marcus was second placed 2 rounds ago. Two non-entries, and down the table he tumbled. Here's the full rundown of everyone who participated over the season:
So the winner is ASP, who gets all the bragging rights for six months. Good luck! And more importantly, Marcus (With his friend Jack Daniel and Jim Beam) beat Knowles. Justice is done! Last edited by Asp; 8 May 2007 at 12:39. |

I think betting on Narain finishing races was what lost it for me. Still 3rd is not bad.
Well done Asp and roll on Zandvoort so we can do it all again! |

I'm very happy with 5th after knowingy missing a couple of rounds or so. Congratulations to Asp. I think A1GP is the most random and therefore the most difficult competition to win.

10th will have to do, I went slightly random in the final round to try and pick up the "wildcard" points and jump a few places.....it backfired with the lowest score in the final round.
Oh well there's always next season. |

I really should have found a proper prize to give myself shouldn't I? Thanks for all the congratulations - strider is completely right in that things are so random, for that I'd say there's probably a bit more luck than other series. Certainly for the first few rounds, anyone could have been the race winner, and the scores showed that!
Thanks to Hazza for sorting the final round, and thanks to everyone that entered over the season. For those that are interested, you can see how the season developed with the trendy graph attached (OK, I was bored with revision ) Predictions will be back for Zandvoort - if anyone has any suggestions in how they'd like to see the competition run, feel free to pm me! |

What isn't a problem?
Well done Asp, great job both in winning the competition and in running it (despite the last round slip, which I will forgive.) Decent campaign personally, despite missing millions of rounds. I wouldn't have got close to winning though. |
