Boulogne GP circuit

Went on a vintage cycle ride around the Boulogne GP circuit last weekend - but lots of detours where the road's been dual-carriagewayed. Anyone got a map of the original circuit layout? Or photos? (I seem to rember that Motorsport might have done a feature some time ago but can't face going through a three-foot pile of magazines - any idea which issue?)

The French arm of Sutton Publishing produced an excellent 128-page book entitled "Memoire en Images Le Circuit du Boulonnais" in 2000.

Publisher: Editions Alan Sutton
21, avenue de la Republique
37300 Joue-les-Tours

ISBN No 2-84253-466-2

The book is packed with period photos, map of the circuit etc, & is well worth looking out for if you are interested. I bought my copy in an Auchan supermarket for 114 FF, so a year or two ago now!

The circuit's not so very far from me & I've driven bits of it at different times.

Thanks - was actually third in the pile! From the map, it looks like we rode very little of the circuit - the hairpin at St Martin (where we stopped at the tabac) and the 1911/3 link - but it's better to be off major roads on a penny farthing! It's not like Reims or Brooklands - there's not much to show that it ever was a race circuit.

Will have a search for the book.
