The second meeting of the 2007 oval racing season at Rockingham, near Corby on Sat 23 & Sun 24th June. After a packed first meeting, the standard of racing around the oval has increased yet again, with closer races in the SCSA stock cars, and even closer racing (if that was possible) in the Trucks.
At 140mph around the 1.5mile oval, laps are quick and the racing gets very close. The concrete walls bite back as well, as many drivers discover over the course of the season
Support races on the infield circuit at this meeting include Club Formula Ford Midlands South, The Enterprise Edge Club F3 Championship, Max5 Championship, and the always entertaining Legends
Marshals of all levels are required with the infield posts needing manning for the support events, then switching to the oval communication points or pitlane fire/cleanup points for the oval sessions. If it is like last year, lunch bags will be available at signing on on both days, and a minibus will run between the outer paddock and sign-on, and between infield and oval posts at change round times. Marshals camping on the infield is also available.
