Rotax Weight

Hi

Am thining of starting racing Rotax max, just doing some research into chassis's etc, do they all weigh about the same (without driver or any additional weights) or do different manufacturers build to a different weight? Also roughly how much does a full setup weigh? Any idea or help is appreciated, want my size to be as little a hinderance as possible (am 6ft 2)

Thanks

Hi

they are much of a muchness, however if you are 6ft 2 I would assume you are over 12.5 stone so Rotax 177 (heavies class) is where you want to be. Wheres your local track?

Thanks for the advice, am about 13 stone, not ideal but not a lot more I can do about it. My local track is in Hong Kong, there are a couple of new tracks nearby in China as well though

Hmm, without wishing to be racist I doubt theres going to be a lot of heavyweights around HK, except for ex-pats ;-)

Perhaps a dose of dysentry is the answer? Im not joking, I caught a sickness and scats bug from the local hospital my wife and child were in and spent last weekend losing a stone and a half! harsh, but it worked. Im now only a heavy heavyweight, rather than a superheavyweight!
