Latest reports say that Kelvin has applied for a new position as Chief Financial Officer for Walkinshoddy Holdings Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Jersey Islands Holden Racing Ltd which is a shareholder in Stuff The Creditors Family Trust which holds a controlling interest in Screw TEGA Pty Ltd which is a major shareholder in Fans What Fans? Pty Ltd. For this (and his part time job of Auditor for Walkinshaw Racing), he will be recompensed 50% of the residual value of the shares that Mark Skaife has to pay back to Uncle Tom. Evidently his company car is a Chevrolet Royale, owned by a Dubai (should that be Dubious) shelf company.

I wonder what Australia would be like if Hewson had been elected.Where would we be, if we had had a prime Minister sympathetic to motor racing?
What an naive fool though, being honest about it and telling us he would bring in the GST if he was elected. Howard showed how it is done, lie and say you won't do it, then do it when you are elected. Good luck to him in the new job, don't know how he'll go though. |

I think we are definately entitled to hear what penalties etc are handed out - whether it be the HRT situation or anything else.
If an AFL or NRL team breach the salary cap, the details and fines are made public. It is all about credibility and v8s should do this too. Why should they hide it? |

a fundamental difference
Quote:
footy in any of its guises accepts a level of responsibility for the game (certainly what level is debatable) .... few examples of private ownership of the franchises. Franchise profits: some are ploughed back into the game, others are used to build empires in real estate & pokies. To compare V8s with football is to seriously misunderstand the world we live in. You can compare CAMS, its role, transparency & responsibility with the various footy codes. |

Not really sure what you are saying Cavvy but the AFL release an annual report each year which outlines where all money goes and what goes on. Of course like any business not everything is made public and I dont think anyone is asking tega or avesco to release everything but in the case of the HRT situation, and similar instances, there should be transparency and reporting of what happened.
If they want to live in their own little world that is fine but dont expect its lack of credibility to improve. |
