Brawn & Michael to run the show in '08?
... or is ir mere speculation?
" The 52-year-old's new post could also entice Michael Schumacher into a more prominent position at Ferrari, with Bild speculating that the retired seven time world champion is using his visits to races this year to learn the ropes before becoming a key strategic expert. I am not convinced this would be the best approach (from the longterm perspective at least). Unless the intent is to be in these positions for some time to come.
I guess time will tell. |

i can see Brawn comming back but i can't see Micheal doing much more than what he does now unless it's racing.

Michael wont return to race, and it seems Brawn wont return as technical director, leading to speculation of taking the reigns.
The pair could be what Ferrari needs over the greater transition period, but i'd be interested to see whether Brawn as Team Principal would be able to keep his nose out of the Technical Directors work |

Brawn has consistently said that he would be talking to Ferrari about his future in July, so there's no news there. I'm sure he will explore the possibilities at Maranello before thinking about any other offers he might receive, e.g. Honda. It has also long been known that he liked the idea of taking over Jean Todt's job.
One minor problem is his name has always been linked with former chief mechanic, Nigel Stepney, who seems to be in a bit of bother at the moment. To be honest, I don't like Jean Todt and never have, but you have to respect the way he's got the job done, not just at Ferrari but also at Peugeot before. He's a bit like a latter day Napoleon. I'm also wildly jealous that he's hooked up with Michelle Yeoh... |

I'd say Todt was utterly ruthless, cynical and ambitious and that he shared those characteristics with Napoleon. You may say they are essential to success in F1, but Pat Simmonds doesn't come across like that and he's been more successful than most. |
