Have to say, it doesn't sound like it's suddenly going to happen or anything (maybe in a year or two) but this would be another good move for the series to have the reigning Indy 500 champ in the ranks, not to mention a classy driver.

I'd love to see this, to see how it would go.

Makes perfect sense though. Combine the fact that he has won Indy and he is getting older. There is nothing left to acomplish in the IRL.

The defections from open wheel seem to be increasing this year after Montoya moved from F-1. I don't think its a very good sign for the future of the IRL and Champ Car.

Bluewolf has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I would imagine that the reason is one word -- Money -- NASCAR drivers make wayyyyyy more than IRL drivers -- Just another reason to unify the IRL and CC so their combined money will be much better than separate.

For yet another hot sports opinion (and keep in mind I love Dario, he is a terrific driver and I'd like to see him win the IRL crown then go to ALMS for some real racing) perhaps the old boys are getting out of the series that requires top fitness and are moving to series where fried chicken and grits are served in car.

Sounds like someones a little mad, because his preferred motorsport isn't very popular to the general public in North America.
