Can't help thinking he's keeping the seat warm for Adam Carroll but no doubt Firman is a pretty good choice.

Another interesting story is that Tony Teixeira was at Monza being shown around by Bernie Ecclestone, apparently he is interested in buying an F1 team. Story on grandprix.com as is the earlier story about Ferrari. Sorry cannot link to it as F1 sites seem to be inundated with hits today. Might also be something to do with Ferrari, and McLaren, but anyway I digress.

India has listed Narain Karthikeyan to drive in next week's test, so maybe it was just the flu last time. However they've also names Parthiva Sureshwaren so maybe they are also covering their bases...

Team Switzerland (drivers Neel Jani and Sebastien Buemi) is to be engineered by James Robinson this year. Fully story here. The guy certainly has an impressive CV.

What the articles fails to mention is that last season he was the engineer for Team GBR, so I wonder who they're going to use this season. It would be a coup to poach Chris Gorne, but that may be wishful thinking.

Hey hands off Chris Gorne, he's ours (NZL)!

Narain did well in testing today, looks like he's definitely doing the season which is a great relief. He'll be good for the series. Perhaps following last weekend's GP2 result Chandhok is the more likely candidate for Kingfisher F1 so we can keep Narain.

Looks like it is going to be a very close season, although having 17 drivers within a second is not that big a deal when the total laptime is only 48 seconds.
