Hi Andy, welcome to ten-tenths

I guess stockhatch/procar would probably be the best place to start (unless you're a major fan of Minis then minicross is an option). The most common car in stockhatch is a Peugeot 205 gti (1600) and there are usually quite a few second hand ones available. Some of the other members here are stockhatch drivers so they'll be able to give you a much better idea of running costs etc.

Hi mate, I run a stockhatch for myself and sometimes for other people.

On top of entry costs you use pump fuel which isn't too much, tyres last however long you will let them but three events see many people change them. They are up to and around £75 depending on where you get them. Spares wise major things don't often go too wrong as no many bits are modified, but having obvious spares at events is a must, second hand usually. Bumpers, bottom arms, steering arms, shafts, dizzy caps etc etc just the usual little things that tend to play up or break. You will learn what you need once you get out there racing.

What else would you like to know?

If your looking to hire or buy a car then don't hesitate to get in touch.

ball park figures for stockhatch can range from 1500 euro to 9000 roughly, theres a good car for sale at the minute for 4900 euro as far as i know, this would be a reliable car to start and is competitive too, would suggest you come along to mondello this sunday and see the class for yourself, have a chat with some drivers, most are very friendly but theres no beginners race as such.

yep the 5th round of the championship is on on sunday 14th and its also a round of the british championship so should be a good one, all rounds are in mondello and so long as ur entry is in on time its 195 euro, good value for a days racing. last 2 rounds of the championship this year are the 4th november and 25th november too if u wanted to see more after sunday.
