Rallycross to return down under
After an absence of many years Rallycross will return to Australia at the sport's original home Calder Park Raceway. Calder Park CEO told the C31 TV Show In Pit Lane that the original layout used in the early seventies will be rebuilt with racing to commence later this year.
The venue will also be the site of another Rally Masters event for Targa type cars. |

Excellent Good to see other parts of the world catching on
Do you know what the class structures will be? Presumably they won't be restricted to Ford or Holden v8's |

I am interested to know if this is Rallycross as we know it in the Uk and Europe or something different. Can inpitlane give us ay idea and ideally a website where we can see regulations etc.

I've been going on about rallycross to all my mates back home for years but they don't understand
I don't think there's enough money around for div1 type cars but there are lots of Grp N rally cars that could be adapted quite easily. With the ARC in a bit of a state it'd be a good way to get a few cars and drivers back on the track in a spectator environment and win back the public. |

Yep same thing but as zac510 said I wouldn't think that there'd be to many dedicated rallyX cars built or left over but there's lots of older rallycars that would be suitable.

Peter Brock made a real name for him self in the supercharged Rallycross Torana. GTR. Rallycross was big in the 70's and Channel 7 telecast Rallycross from both Catalina Park and Calder. Whenever, HDT and Peter were entered, it proved to be a formidable combination |
