Will be a street/road course.
Power out of the blocks was .5 second slower the Briscoe at Sebring. Very impressive. You would have to think NHL would be even better. |

I wouldn't discount the CCWS drivers much on circuits/road events. Oriol's test time at Sebring topped all but Brisco and Helio's. If Oriol is putting up that type of time against the IRL standards it says guys from CCWS won't be far behind if at all when it comes to non-ovals.
On the oval it is an entirely different story with Marty Roth handily outdriving the CCWS boys at the 2nd Homestead testing. Most of the Champ Car drivers running testing are more than 3-5mph off the pace of the top IRL drivers on the oval. And the winner is: Graham Rahal, Newman/Haas/Lanigan, St. Pete!

Good news really!
apparently the experience gap on a street course has reversed compared to the ovals. Not a surprise, it was necessary for the series that the ex cc teams be encouraged after Homestead |

Yep, well that didn't take long. Just shows that a good take won't take long to get a handle on things. Don't get me wrong, i still think it will be a while before any of the CC guys mount a serious oval challenge but the road coarses are fair game
