DTC Race 1 - Jyllandsringen (DEN), 4 May 2008

DTC racing kicks off at Jyllandsringen on May 4th 2008 for the first round of the season. Jyllandsringen is located close to Silkeborg in Denmark. The first two testdays were held here last weekend with BMW in the top. Jan Magnussen topped the test with BMW-colleauge Tom Pedersen right behind him. DTC-newcomer and WTCC-ace James Thompson was third and topped the first test day.

Very nice grid, a lot of variety and great names Too bad Jason Watts Seat isn't ready in time for the first race.

Some very nice racing action yesterday Magnussen was in a league of his own, Thompson discovered that DTC's standard is definitely not far below WTCC's (not that he didn't drove well though, he definitely put down a proper performance). I was impressed by Tom Pedersen as well, completely missed him last year. Probably just down to my lack of general knowledge about the Danish racing scene. Jason Watt was going well as well, he was showing good pace with his (awesome looking black and white) Leon

The Danisch championship is a great onen witch has some big names, with Thompson, Magnussen and Watt and the European champion Nykaer. A real shame that they only can use big kartingtracks.
