I've not been on here for a while.
But i think the race was awesome was fully of lots of intreasting incidents and unexpected results other then a Ferrari 1-2 how badly was Heikki buried in that barrier glad his OK though. i think its been the best race so far this season. Hoping McLaren can bring something extra to Turkey |

Well, this race is rarely anything other than a demonstration of car capabilities. I actually like having it on the schedule for this very reason. There have been some races to get people sorted out, which then means we can get a look at where all the teams really stand relative to each other. The race as a spectacle, as it were, is rarely much to mention. This year was most certainly unspectacular, although the overuse of the SC artificially held things together a bit.
It is that final chicane brutality that bothered me most: just sickening. I'm going to go for a 5: the race was no more nor less than completely average and normal. Taken in the context of it being Barcelona it could have been given a 6, but out of that context easily a 4. So, all in all, given the entirely predictable standard given, I think a 5 is 100% fair and reasonable. |

Bernie has a state-of-the-art testing facility in France (Paul Ricard). The teams can't race there, but they sure as hell could test there and stop wearing out the tarmac at the Catalunya track.
I would imagine that some drivers can drive around the Barcelona track on a pretty fast lap with their eyes shut! Some say that this is what DC does anyway, but I really can't believe that. |

Me neither, the "pretty fast" part is a bit far fetched.
