Sorry, only just picked this up
The special he had at David Brown's that you refer to is probably 'Sin Tin'.. If so, yes, we cover it in the book and even have a pic or two regards Paul Lawrence |

Although the result is mentioned, the way it came about has not.I make refference to The Eiffle Classic,2004,I took first stint[my car]and got pretty involved in a scrap with a 911 for second in class, after a thoroughly enjoyable and close 3.5 laps with said Porsche and gaining a comfortable margin between us,I decided to hand over to Barrie, driver chabge was pretty slik and off he went, still in front of the Porsche. At the start of the last lap,Barrie thought there was a need to back off slightly for fear of low fuel[unfounded as it turned out] thus allowing said Porker past,as he came up to the checkered flag, that he had not seen,he pulled into the pit lane,we finished third in class, the start line applies to the pit lane as well apparently.

I am a bit frustrated by some obvious typo's. When did Mallory Park have a Lodge Corner for instance. (Sorry for being picky!). 9 out of 10 from me |

Alan
You've depressed me. Clearly there is no Lodge at Mallory - what page? I'll now go and beat myself with a big stick. But that's not a typo, just a simple error. As I've been to both tracks countless times, and started marshalling at both in the mid-70s, I'm rather angry with myself. By the way, there's no apostrophe in typo's... Regards! |

Scoops,I'm sure you dont have to beat yourself ,Whiz will do that for you.
I have been reading it,about half way through at present. He's a forgetfull old git though,no mention of the grief he gave me for looking after him and Alan on the Tour Britannia,or the fact that he was playing about with the car when we took the class at Spa. |
