Hi David, indeed you were!
May I just take this opportunity to extend to you a warm welcome to ten-tenths and especially this forum. Stephen |

Was it cold and wet I hadn't noticed from the rescue unit. Though the med car did go and collect three drivers who had decided to bend their nice shiny and expensive cars against the walls along pit straight.
For those who are visiting the delights of Silverstone this year it might be worth having a look at the alterations made to Copse. Gone are the expanses of beach all replaced by a 10ft strip of grass a wide piece of tarmac and a narrow gravel bed. It will be interesting to see how many incidents they have at Copse exit. |

Maybe I should ask Gary Dearn if I can be the IO there this year for the GP?

Emmm. I think you may be required to cover more than one post Steve. Still. the "upgraded" Copse sounds promising.

Did you get any feedback on Saturday David? I hear 16 Silverstone Incident Officers have said NO to the GP this year and that the MSA has been ringing around trying to get a few more names.

Not too many regulars in the diner on saturday. A bit short all round. Those I spoke to seemed rather fed up. Interestingly (or not), some who only do VSCC were worried about the "professional" marshals giving up all together.

Not a good sign is it. We said the same at Brands on Saturday and Sunday, looked around and guessed the average age of the marshals there at 40+
