Rollinson was the standout at QLD for me, little car time and a great result. Made his team member look a little tardy.

I think Karl Reindler will have to be one to watch. I'm not predicting that he will win but quite possibly make the podium. He's performing extremely well for someone in there first year in supercars. He'd have to be the front runner for the Rookie Of The Year award

And if I recall rightly... Mr Rollinson debuted in the same chassis, at the same track last season. Hope it is raining for the development series races

I think Mr Assailits car did get some upgrades in the off-season though, the 60 car remains very much untouched. Hear a whisper that the engine from the 61 is on its way to QLD between rounds.

Reindler's doing a very good, he's exceeded my expectations, but as far as Rookie of the Year goes it's has to be David Reynolds so far. 2 podiums in 4 rounds for someone in their first year in V8's is a fantastic effort.

The SteeeveO Show was on display this weekend... leading the series by almost a full round... his to lose...

Too many safety cars in the Fujitsu races though, they hardly got going.. meaning anyone with a car setup designed to come on later in the event was at a serious disadvantage....

Matters arising from Race 3:

The Mechanical Black Flag was displayed to Car #75 Aaron McGill for loose bodywork.

The Bad Sportsmanship Flag was displayed to Car #95 Brett Holdsworth for blocking.



STEWARDS UPDATE 4: 1500hrs Sunday 3rd August 2008

Matters arising from Race 2:

The Mechanical Black Flag was displayed to Car #49 Terry Wyhoon for excessive smoke.

Following investigations and admissions that a team member had crossed Pit Lane before the last car had passed that garage, the Stewards imposed $300 fines on the following teams:
• Vendace Pty Ltd
• Eggleston Motorsport Car #54 (Fine suspended until 31/12/08)
• Slade Speed Car #23

Following investigations and admissions that their Car crossed the Blend Line at Pit Exit, the following Cars were fined $300:
• Geoff Emery Car #36
• Terry Wyhoon Car #49

Matters arising from Race 1:

The Stewards imposed a PLP on Car #29 Grant Denyer for a driving infringement on Car #35 Tony Bates.

The Mechanical Black Flag was displayed to Car #49 Terry Wyhoon for loose front bodywork.

Following an investigation and an admission by O’Brien Motorsport Pty Ltd Car #45 that a team member had crossed the fast lane before the last car had passed that garage, the Stewards imposed a Fine of $300 suspended until 31/12/08.



STEWARDS UPDATE 2: 1300hrs Saturday 2nd August 2008

Matters arising from Qualifying:

Following an investigation and an admission that they had crossed the blend line at Pit Exit, the Stewards imposed a $300 fine on each of the following Competitors:
• Car #36 Geoff Emery
• Car #28 Nandi Kiss

Following an investigation and an admission by Ben Eggleston that he had passed the chequered flag three times, the Stewards imposed a fine of $500.

Stewards granted permission for Terry Wyhoon Car #49 who did not take part in Qualifying, to start Race 1 from rear of grid.

Matters arising from the Practice Sessions:

Following an investigation and an admission that they had left their Pit Bay before Pit Exit was open, the Stewards imposed a $300 fine on each of the following Competitors:

• Car #73 Marcus Zukanovic
• Car #96 Joel Spychala

Following an investigation and an admission that they had crossed the Pit Exit blend line, the Stewards imposed a $300 fine on each of the following Competitors:

• Car #29 Grant Denyer

Following an investigation and an admission by Damian Assaillit Car #60 that he had passed under a Yellow Flag, the Stewards imposed a Fine of $250.

The Stewards disallowed the lap time in which Markus Zukanovic Car #73 short-cut the circuit.

GTR I dont think 15k per round will get you a much better seat anywhere else.

Canto hit Wyhoon's oil at turn 1 when leading race 3 and speared off damaging the car and ending up 7th. If it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all!
