Proban Hoodies

with the weather we've had, I want more clothes under my orange suit and so looked for Proban Hoodies.
NO one in UK sells them. I sent a email to Canada enquiring and 7 mins later got a call on my mobile from "Frank" in Alberta.
Bottom line is, he can supply them from size small to 5X for 65 canadian dollars (£34,50) plus P&P.
Anyone else interested ?

Nighthawk has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
not really....Like to have all my sensers open hearing and eyes..Hoodies tend to restrict you in that area.
In 12 years and all bad weather never had the need for there use.....

Thermals, extra fleece and quilted orange coat for cold days. Also don't want the stigma that goes with "hoodies"

Sometimes I wear a very lightweight, orange coloured, windproof anorak type thing under my probies so that the hood sticks out. Does much the same job as a hooded proban but more flexible.

The normal hood on my rain gear does me fine 99% of the time, and if it's REALLY bad then a racing balaclava under it for warmth.

If you're wearing Proban overalls I can see no need for anything worn under them to be fire-retardant; the first layer will give you more than enough time to get away from the fire.

I just have a set of thermals for when its cold plus a thinsulate hat, keeps my head and ears roasty toasty.

Mind you hoodies may suit us all, large gangs stood around on corners

Welcome to ten-tenths, Colin. Don't be put off by the above comments about hoodies, most marshals wear the hoods in their rain-proof over-jackets in poor conditions, although these tend not to be of proban material.

In cold weather I tend to wear a Proban padded waistcoat over my normal probans, with the waterproof jacket over that if raining/snowing (Trucks at Brands earlier this yeat.)

err dont most of us wear baseball caps as per 99% of neds/chavs cant see hoodies making much difference, plus as msgirlie says we do hang about corners waiting for something to happen. we like designer labels (AWS on the ovies, brand name on the boots) hmmm

one thing I could do with for next year is orange t-shirts for under my probans
