WMUCarGuy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Your sports car racing dream team

Suppose you're planning on fielding a 2 car sports car team in the ALMS/LMS. Who would your sports car dream team of drivers be? The car or class doesn't matter here, I'm just interested in drivers. Here's mine:

Car 1:
Allan McNish
Nicolas Minassian
Christophe Bouchut

Car 2:
David Brabham
Jan Magnussen
Romain Dumas

minimangler should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Car 1; Christope Bouchut
Emmanual Collard
J-M Gounon (it's a bit french!)

Car2; Richard Westbrook (he's been MEGA this season, but his car hasn't)
Allan Mcnish
Andrea Bertollini

Of course, then I've got to find time for Warren Hughes, Olly Gavin, Minassian, Mucke, Mackowieki (he'll be big soon), Enge, Wendlinger, Hezemans, Faessler, Campbell Walteretc etc.

PS: Is this a long or a short race?

Oh, and my team? The effiency and teamwork of Audi, the determination of Corvette, the cockiness of Aston, the preperation of Vitaphone, and whatever the hell AF Corse have in their tea. Oh, and Henri Pesca as team boss, because you need the ACO on side

How about a team of American Drivers that would be really fast in one car:

Boris Said
Marco Andretti
Ryan Hunter Reay

And my International Team in the other car:

David Brabham
Allan McNish
Cristophe Bouchut

How could nobody have James Weaver on their list? In his prime he was as good, if not better, than nearly everybody listed.

Wow, I must have had a total brain fart in not thinking TK. Oh well, I dunno who I'd kick off my team to put him in.

Isn't he retired? Because in that order of idea, Ickx, Bellof, Bell, Wollek, Stuck, Pescarolo, Mass, and many others are also electable...

Do you guys think that Schumacher would be good in sportscars if he somehow could be lured out of retirement?

This is a dream team after all - and it has been a long time since he drove sportscars, but he is fast.

I'd be tempted to poach F1 for other drivers if this were a dream team as well - but maybe not.

If we're talking retired guys, how about Phil Hill, Mario Andretti and John Surtees? Not a bad trio there.

This IS a dream team, yes?

Stefan Bellof
Jo Siffert
Derek Bell

Jackie Ickx
Tom Kristensen
Pedro Rodriguez.

Team manager is, of course, John Wyer.

Who cares what we're running, that line up will win...

The list of great drivers is endless, you could a lot worse than Mark Donahue, Bruce McClaren and Denny Hulme and a second car with Dan Gurney, Jackie Oliver and Oliver Gendebien.

Great line up,I would just make a few minor changes and have -

Jackie Ickx
Derek Bell
David Brabham

Allan McNish
Tom Kristensen
Pedro Rodriguez

and with John Wyer in charge, damn near unbeatable. And seeing we are all still in the dream time, I would make sure that, what's his name ?? - the bloke in charge at ferrari, back in the early '70s was running whoever was the closest opposition.
