Hmm.

I would guess that it would be a current BMW driver? At a guess then - Colin Turkington or Mat Jackson. Jackson because of RBM preparing his BTCC car all year, so he has a connection with BMW and the reason why I guessed Turkington was that WSR were not sure if they would be doing another race this year or not - and they had stated their interest in going to Macau but they didn't seem that sure anymore by what was said last weekend at Brands Hatch and also because Colin won the BMW Independent's award last year - so there was some prize money he got with that.

Total guesses for both of them

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I presume, if Mat would be a driver, it would be with the BMW UK team to back up Andy, not a small independent team. But who knows, the BTCC season is over so any payed drive should be interesting for a driver (or is weicher supposed to get payed by the driver?).

I would think that if BMW would pick a sidekick for Priaulx, they'd go back to their usual handymen such as Huisman, Ekblom or Magnussen, who have experience with the WTCC and Macau. And Weichers is only a small outfit, they definitely don't offer payed drives as far as I know.

When a crack like Huisman drove for Wiechers he had to pay, so I'm sure any other driver must pay too.

Agreed, the Mat J connection would probably only be of interest if WTCC BMW UK wants to run 2 cars whole next year (whether its in BTCC or WTCC).
