Who really is Average Punter

First we have Average Punter suggesting that the flag points could be on the left over the top of the mountain, then I read Chris Pither saying the same thing. Next I read AA and find Jamie Whincup claiming to be Average Punter!!!
Now I find NAC putting up grid girl photos he claims are from Average Punter.

Is this man really a chemist from Wagga, is he the Stig, who really knows!!

There is one eliminated.

That statement alone tells me that there is more than one, suffice to say that I did get a text message from A Average Punter who was at Bathurst this weekend just gone.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i have an average punter in my mobile, but he messages me from two mobiles. this tends to support the multiple identities.

Could he be like the Stig and have different identities - the the Black AP and the White AP

Not one AP, tonight however may be a slightly different story.

That hat looks nothing like the one that kept your head dry at Oran Park last year!

Not necessarily. It depends on which measure of central tendency,or 'average' you use.

Mean is the result of adding all results together and dividing by the number of results.

Median is the result that's half way between the biggest and smallest results.

Mode is the most commonly-occuring result.

The Mode, then, MUST have more than one 'average.' Same goes for the others, for that matter - so you can have more than one result that's average.

Typically, you take all results within, say, 10% of the mean result and band them as 'average'. If the results are symmetrical about the mean, you can say they are 'normally distributed' and a normal distribution has 1/3 of the result either side of the mean.

Confused yet?

Wait until we get to Geometric Means and Rolling Averages!

Standing on the bank at Avalon with Owen Kelly, Whincups average punter could include Steve Richards ... ordinary motorsport fans taking in World Series Sprintcars thru summer.
