This guy must be good, seeing as he has two threads dedicated to him!

not sure he is exactly overlooked, he spent this year with Embassy racing in the LeMans Series which is one of the top LMP2 teams and has been hugely fast, he has certainly got the attention of the sportscar fraternity.

I wonder if testing a new Dallara means Joey and/or HS-Technik will do Euroseries in 2009... New generation cars shouldn't be allowed ATS cup next year, so it can't be that... |

This was his first F3 race since accident, but he had one day practice test last year. Also his first race on single seat since accident. Car was a brand new one that was being tested for HS Technik not expected to win, but did two poles and two outright wins over everybody in Interserie races. I think Joey likes Hockenheim as he win there before in F3, and he is very close to HS. Car can not run in ATS Cup next year but can run Euroseries and British F3. It is good that he can prove his neck and back is mended now.

He proved his back and neck were mended by racing in the LMS and LeMans this year! He also proved he is as good as if not better than warren hughes, darren manning etc.. considering they always got the new tyres etc.!

Not quite true, but quicker than all team mates at Silverstone by nearly a second, and quickest qualifying in Spa by the same time, the only time he did LMS qualifying. Great loss Embassy closing, for the team and everyone in it, and the owner, and the series, not just Joey.

Just curious as to what sort of standard interserie is, is it similar to ATS Cup, i do hope Joey can get back into single seaters though.

The best thing about Joey isn't just his speed which he has in abundance or his feedback, which is also good, but the fact that unlike a lot of drivers he is a really top bloke without a hint of arrogance.Gets in does the business and doesn't feel the need to tell people how good he is,somebody give the man a drive next year,it's such a shame about Embassy, surely he deserves another chance!
