Eddie Irvine withdrew from the Austrian GP on Friday after suffering from stomach problems since arriving at the circuit earlier in the week.
He was booked into a London hospital, but according to the team he'll be released within 24 hours and added that no surgery is needed. The statement read: 'After undergoing extensive tests at a London hospital, doctors have stated that there is no immediate cause for concern over Eddie Irvine's condition after he was admitted to hospital on Friday suffering from abdominal pains. Doctors have stated there is no need for Irvine to undergo any form of surgery at present. He will be released from hospital within 24 hours and return for further tests early next week. Irvine hopes to be back in the car for the German Grand Prix.' So, there's no immediate cause for concern, that's good news. Cheers, Eddie. |

I don't have a good feeling about this at all. At first, I wasn't even going to post anything. Mystery pains of this severity are not a good sign. I just hope he ate something off, like oysters or sashemi or Thai food. I really wish him a speedy recovery. Good luck, Eddie!!!! Let's see you at trackside today.
