Rockingham Stages 13/14 Dec 2008

Marshals required for the above meeting. Contact Robert Brook on 07870 592608, or e-mail Robert.J.Brook@csplc.com It's a two day event with 10 stages, 2 of which are on Saturday evening.

Just a quick word of thanks to everyone involved. Some excellant stages, especially the two night stages. A fairly high attrition rate, but still over 50 finishers. The Accent WRC, driven by Steve Simpson taking the win.

Although not marshalling I had a good time at this event and for me Dave West and the 306 Maxi was the star, and he finished 2nd overall. Andy Gwynnes Saxo also impressed.

Didn't know you were there Bob. There was 6 of us along the Pit Lane stage, me, John and Luke Souch, Paul Leedham, Paul Stilling and Roy Salisbury, it was like a BRSCC awayday.

I spent some of the time in Race Control with John Newman and some time in the Media Office. It was a good view from the Media room and in the dark we managed to count 26 cars in view at one time. Did have a walk through the service area to chat to some of the members of our own club, they were having a "mixed" day one retired on stage 2 and another finished 3rd in class.

That's a great car isn't it? The engine is an absoluter screamer and it corners like it's on rails.
