racecastripoff

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"Get back free stats on NASCAR.COM!"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
service, at:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/nol/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.

I found out about this petition on: http://www.angelfire.com/md3/racecastripoff/

Good idea. But the sad thing is they won't change it unless the thousands of people who go to NASCAR.COM every day stop going there completely. Until they don't get any hits on their website, they won't get the message.

So, yeah. Sign the petition. But boycott them too.

Yeah... A long term boycott would be much more effective. In fact, if you really want to get NASCAR's attention, boycott a race. Or at least make it look like you are. Get about 150 to 200 people (it doesn't matter if they actually had no plans to go in anyway), and picket the entrance to a track, with signs saying you will not go to another race until NASCAR.COM stops being so greedy. By doing that, and dropping a little hint that a "Fan Strike" will be taking place outside a track to the media, you might even get some TV coverage... And thus more support. Make sure your signs say to boycott NASCAR.COM, Real Networks Real One Player, Racecast, and anything else that seems appropriate for the occaission. Now that just might work.

I don't exactly have a website, even though I have a bunch of places I could put one (or more). But I do like to play around in Paint Shop Pro. Feel free to use that little banner if ya like. Of course, that was a 5 minute toss it together job. I can do better, if I put my mind to it...

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Even though there is no copyright symbol on any of the images I used, they are all still covered. As I found out when I was researching about posting copyrighted articles, if there is a single copyright notice on a website, it covers everything on the entire website. So you'll notice I fixed the pic. It's all legal now.
