High Life Motorsports Boss Pleased With Results
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - Following his first foray into the world of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, High Life Motorsports president and CEO Matt Chalich was pleased with the team's performance. "Our guys did a great job these past couple of weeks and I want to extend my thanks and congratulations to them" said an elated Chalich. "To have two top ten finishes in our first two races is nothing short of fantastic! We have proven that our little team can contend for top tens, and when you run in the top ten consistently, wins come a little more easily." High Life Motorsports seemed poised for possibly an even better finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but late race fuel strategy took them out of contention for a win. "David [Reuittiman] was up there all day, and Kyle [Busch] was running strongly in the top six or seven all day long" Matt continued. "If some things had fallen our way, maybe we could have contended for the victory, but the victories will come next season if we continue to run like this week in and week out. I am very excited about the future and the potential of this upstart team. We did what we wanted to do, you know, came out here and got our feet wet and showed that we're not messing around." Chalich also lauded the team's effort to get up and running in a short time period prior to the Phoenix race. "I decided that I wanted to put this team together at about 4:00pm on November 7th," he stated, "so I made some phone calls, you know, to some drivers and other personnel, and in one hour and forty-five minutes, we were on the track qualifying. And ran in the top ten in the race, none the less! Simply a monumental effort and my thanks go out to all involved." When asked about the teams line-up next season, Chalich stated, "We are in talks with our current drivers, as well as with some other new faces. I can't really say right now who will and who won't be in a High Life Motorsports seat next season, but I guarantee you that we will be competitive. We're here to win, baby, and that's what we're gonna do. I want a Sprint Cup on my mantle come this time next season!" The outlook is optimistic for the little team that could from South Florida, and come next season, you just may see a new face in victory lane - a lot. |
