Cooper Mk1 1.5 litre/1961 (T53P)
For the 1961 season Cooper mostly used the Lowline technolgoy, taken over from the 1960 works cars, and fitted 1.5 liter FPF engines. So we have the T53 in a production version, and Doug Nye speaks about the T53P.
To add to the confusion, there were three workscars used in 1961, referred to as T55. The Cooper Chassis records have the following list (again faithfully copied from Doug Nye's book) for 1961. So there are 19 cars on the list, of which three are T55s (or "Slimlines") and two are T58s, and were actually completed in 1962, when the V8 engine became available. Cars completed.
