Just to let those in Australia know, channel 10 are still in negotiations with Foxtel about the showing the Superbikes. As Foxtel have the first rights to it, they have to argue with them as well as SBK. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon and some of us can actually watch SBK.

damm , yeah i noticed that Elephino , tis a real shame since we have Aussies right up the front as well , I think it should be on free to air TV , because the public who dont have cable want to see it.
fortunately I have cable so i got to watch it live , but it would be a real bummer to miss out on it , lets hope channel 10 can sort something out by the time round 2 at the island happens. |

I remember channel 10 had a similiar problem at the start of '99, before i got foxtel, and channel 10 didn't show the first round from Kyalami, and all the other rounds had FOX Sports in the top corner all year.

I'm waiting on an update from ch10, which I will hopefully get tomorrow...especially as the next round, at Phillip Island, is on this weekend. |

They seem to have just taped the races off fox sports, even down to warren and magoo doing the commentary.

why cant we get the commentary team with Charlie Cox i stayed up until 11:30 last nite to hear him commentate and we got another team! :confused:

On foxtel we usually get the BBC team (Charlie Cox & Steve Parrish), but always at Phillip Island Warren Smith & Kevin McGee do it. In 2000, Smith & McGee commentated every round for foxtel, except for Monza when Rob Phillis filled in for McGee

As McGoo is God we should be well satisfied.
I remember watching him in the early to mid eighties on the Bob Brown Ducati at Oran Park. The guy was dynamite. Get cable guys. And get educated. |

I really like McGoo and Smith... they really know their stuff, and really get into it. A bit like Keif and Jules, but with a lower blood-alcohol level
 Cox & Geezer took a few laps to get into it at the season opener, but they aren't that bad. And yay for Foxtel!
