First chance to see Petrol vs. Diesel, and with those new rules. Should be a very interesting Spa 2009. Oreca v. Pescarolo v. Aston Martin v. Peugeot.

Second chance for Kolles to prove themselves in the Audi (don't give your hopes up!).

LMP2 will see the first Porsche in action this season and a small prelude of Le Mans with them taking on the RML, Quifel ASM and, of course, Biagi's Racing Box cars.

In GT1, instead of a Larbre Saleen we'll get a Jetalliance AM!

And GT2 only has 1 addition but it will be exciting as always.

I dunno who's gonna win. I have no idea what the effect the engine changes will have on the diesels or else I would have said a Peugeot.

What's happened to Larbre for this race? Clashing FFSA round?

I hope this is an error on the #77 Felbermayr Porsche

  • Marc Lieb
  • Richard Lietz
  • Horst Sr Felbermayr

If they have to put a Felbermayr in there at least put Jr in as he is the fastest of them both.

Entry list and support races looking good, should be there late friday afternoon, anticipation already building, although Speedy aston must now be doubtful after the weekend crash, it looked a complete mess. Check below.

It's the LMP2-Judd, not the Aston, I think. The Aston has the red livery.

Not only that, Spa is fairly similar to Le Mans so it should give us a real simulation. I still think that the Peugeots and the Audis should fly through Eau Rouge due to their manufacturer aero-dynamics, and therefore carry a huge amount of mementum through the long straight. Advantage diesels for this one?

Nicely put together again Horndawg , thanks .

I have to agree with Ginger on this will be one by a Pug .....

LMP2 should be won by Pouelsen .

Love to see another Lambo win , and of corse a Porsche in GT2 . Be a dream to see a Spyker on the podium for their home race though .

Optimistic ha?
The times made until now by the Porsche RS with the 2009 spec rear wing are not too impressive, and it won't be as easy as 2008. ASM and Racing Box are very strong!

Audi Racer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I guarantee you that Porsche will give Poulsen the DFI engine for Lemans or maybe even for spa also. this is not a matter of Poulsen asking for the Engine and having to pay. The DFI is the best engine in the P2 field This is a matter of Porsche Pride. Porsche are willing to give away that engine so that another team can win Lemans bearing the Porsche name.

If i was peugeot i would lay back at Spa not trying to set the pole and obliterate the field if the car is still faster. I would just follow the top three or 2 car until the end of the race and make it look like a stategical victory not a pace advantage. They don't want any more penalties handed down to diesels so they may do this

This would be the smart thing to do, but sometimes I wonder about those guys. It seems like they like to showoff what they can do.

I think the Pugs are so much quicker that if they did that at Spa, they would still be pole.

All drivers/teams will employ tactics but after Spa there is only 4 weeks until Le Mans so no more changes would be possible, therefore the Pugs will be going all out to intimidate the Audi R15 teams that will be watching even if they are not there. The battle between Audi and Peugout has some scores to settle and that perhaps may play into the hands of other parties.

Any way only just over a week until I leave for spa and less that 6 before I leave for Le mans.

I think your reasoning may be correct and it's just over a week for us for Spa and same for Le Mans - lucky you, it takes you less time to get there than us!!

Enjoy the events.

I have a feeling Pug will sandbag at Spa then unleash everything at LeMans to possibly catch Audi by surprise, however, that is unlikely but we shall wait and see, looks like its going to be one hell of a race!

Can't wait to see the "Acura boys" driving the 908s !!!

And I hope Brabham and Pagenaud will drive in the same time...in order to compare their pace
