Ken came up fast on some traffic at the hairpin, braked hard and the Min swapped ends. He was going very well and had already posted a mid 47's, the previous lap. Chris made a slightly better start in the race but Ken was on fine form and, helped by Chris missing a gear at the hairpin AND leaving the door wide open, he was through and away for the race, posting a PB of 46.921 in the race.
In the second race Ken was cautious as he had a leaking oil cooler pipe and Chris got several cars in front. Ken passed several up the hill but then got savaged by an Escort at the hairpin which will require slightly more than a reel of Rob's tape to fix.

Perhaps Bill's Mini is a bit over exposed but he does keep on winning!
I thought Tristram's win was covered well , James' efforts were recognised and a half page write up is as much as we could expect. Very positive comments from Mat James's editorial on the mixed format of the meeting in which he noted 'Congratulations to the BARC SE for the best days entertainment I've had for ages'

Quite a surprise as it was only 5 days after the Rallycross, which was very, very dusty - Lydden must have done a good job cleaning up

So tell me did you guys find the Lydden Hill experience an improvement from last time as a few of you were moaning after your previous visit and before we went down there with the CTCRC so I was expecting the worse but I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised and happy with the place.

The June 28th races were recorded by Motors TV, but to date I have not received any news on when they are being broadcast. They have shown the Mini 50th races.

To be fair to them it was cleaner and tidy but they still got customer management skills to learn.

DMN races will be shown on Motors TV on November 6th at around 7PM (repeated several times). The Welsh series from Brands Hatch will be shown on Oct,23rd. The producer will have DVDs available soon at a cost of about £10, hopefully including p&p.

I'd like to congratulate Tris on his win, typically I missed this one (I know its a girl, but sometimes you drive like one)

No seriously well done mate, always good seeing a Mini take a win and an ex-Minicrosser at that.
I even bought a copy of Autosport !
