in normal race conditions (ie. not because of pitting out of sync etc...) has one Minardi ever lapped the other, or was Marc Gene the first driver ever to do so?

At risk of incurring the wrath of more than one person...
I think that could be the first time a Minardi's ever lapped anything...
(Although I don't remember the 'good times' of the late 80's / early 90's when they were apparently OK in the hands of Pier-Luigi Martini) |

ok just opened my book of tricks and im sure there are other occasions but the 1990 mexican gp ..pier luigi martini finished 12th completing 68 laps and his teammate paolo barilla finished 14th completing 67 laps..so yes it would seem that one Minardi has lapped another minardi ...and im sure it has happened a few more times.

That doesn't mean that Martini lapped Barilla. It just means that Barilla was lapped one more time by the race winner. Martini could have been just a few seconds in front of Barilla with the race winner (and whoever was 13th) in between them.
