Just wondering what sort of buget would be required to run a Porsche 997 cup car in cup class of British gt next year and also how much could i sell the seats for per round or for the season

You're going to need to wait and see the calender and the regulations Porscheman as the number of tyres allowed per weekend/ cost of entries and number/ location of rounds are going to be your key costs I'd imagine. Guessing a 997 Cup car will run the season without too much preventative maintenance but you'll have a better idea than me what a couple of gearbox rebuilds and an end of season engine rebuild are going to cost you, similarly insurance.

Put a price on it!! The way things were going you would have needed to pay the driver to do it.

There was a british website with all the british motor competitions and all the aproximated budget ratios on each competition, contacts, phones, etc, but I don´t remember the URL, sorry.

Maybe a "british good samaritan" knows it.

That may have been the case in 2009 but with the proposed regs for 2010 with a cup class i believe British GT will prosper next season

I think the organisers will do more to make it more attractive for teams also

I think the comment was referring to the fact that over the last couple of years in Brit GT spec on Avons the Porsche has been a rather uncompetitive proposition - some might say 'dog'. That's why there have been no Cups or, if you have any hope at all, Cup S cars in the series since the early races of 08. If you can enter a 3 year old Cup car in the new Cup class, however, you are right, things might change. Since it's a new setup though, I'm not sure how many people could give you a solid estimate of the running costs and market rate here.
