2010 info round-up,

Hi with many changes in sportscar racing for 2010 can someone help me summarise and get all the key points together-

is the following correct and please add/ correct anything to make it more accurate-

FIA GT1-
- Current FIA GT1 series will have World Championship status
- GT1 cars will be downgraded from what they are at the moment to somewhere between current GT1's and GT2's.
- What does this mean for the current GT1 cars (MC12, Aston, Corvette, Saleen, etc)? Will they be eligible to continuing racing in FIA GT1 class and if not are all 2010 cars new?
- Are 2010 FIA GT cars eligible for Le Mans 24hr and the Le Mans series (LM GT1)? Are current FIA GT cars elible for LM GT1?
- Which series is looking better and more professional FIA GT1 or LMS GT1?
- FIA GT1 teams can only use 1 pro driver where as LM GT1 can have 2 pro drivers?

FIA GT2-
- FIA GT2 will no longer race with FIA GT1 and will race in their own GT2 euro championship that will support many FIA GT1 weekends?
- Cars will remain similar to current specs?
- Are FIA GT2 and LM GT2 spec cars the same?
- Is the FIA GT2 or LM GT2 looking stronger/ more pro?
- Where do they stand on pro drivers?

FIA GT3
- same specs as 2009 and will continue as entry level series (besides GT4 which is more for gentlemen/ new drivers)?
- Also same specs as most national series such as British GT, etc?
- Will support GT1 weekends?

LM GT1/ GT2-
- Will they remain the same as 2009?

Costs 2009 vs 2010 (general team running budgets/ driver budgets)
FIA GT4-?
FIA GT3-?
FIA GT2-?
FIA GT1-?
LM GT1-?
LM GT2-?
-----------

LMP class-
- Will the Le Mans Series and LM24hr remain mainly the same
- What is this new International Cup about?
- Formula Le Mans (FLM) will race the same time as the main Le Mans Series events with LMP1/LMP2/ GT1/GT2+ FLM.
- Anything else?

Thanks

There is a big difference between FIA GT and Le Mans championships: race lengths. It's difficult to compare quality and importance when FIA GT1 races last 60 minutes and Le Mans races over 1000km.

Below is an excerpt copied from the FIA GT site:

The announcement of the new World Championship will see a change to the existing structure with GT1, GT2, and GT3 classes split into three distinct championships.

The FIA GT1 World Championship is for independent teams and professional drivers, the FIA GT2 European Championship is for independent teams and pro-am driver crews, and the FIA GT3 European Championship is for independent teams and non-professional drivers.
