The Xbox 360 direct charge kit and the PC
Just acquired Richard Burns Rally, as well as GPL and have been looking into ways to connect the Microsoft Xbox 360 wheel onto the PC, so far I have seen two potential options:
1) The wireless gaming reciever - a full proof method of connecting both wheel and controller to the PC 2) The USB Direct Charge Kit - cheaper option than the wireless reciever, basically a wire that plugs into the battery pack bit and has a USB plug at the other end. If anyone owns the second option, I would like to know if you can plug it into the PC, install the drivers for the controller, then use the controller on a PC game? And if so, can it be done with the wheel too? (even though the Wheel gets its power from the mains, yet still has a battery pack) Help would be much appreciated thanks |

The charge kit can't be used for that, it only carry's voltage over the cable to charge the batteries, it doesn't carry any data, the wireless receiver is the only option.
