2010 Southern 100

The 2010 edition of the Southern 100 friendly races at the Billown circuit have started last night with practice sessions. Timing sheets can be found at http://irishroadracers.smfforfree.co....html#msg12647 . Some first few photos from the Monday practice can be found at http://www.realroadracing.com/forum/...pic.php?t=5659

Tonight from 1805 bst / 1905 cet another practice for all classes takes place until the first two races kick off from 2000 bst / 2100 cet. Manxradio FM looks like to be the only source to get live race coverage so far.

A full schedule can be found at http://www.iomguide.com/races/southe...-programme.php

Tuesday Night Practice times can be found at http://irishroadracers.smfforfree.co...ic,5971.0.html . It is wet and windy on the island so practice times are a lot slower tonight.
Mickey D. seems to be on a mission tonight as he is the fastest in both 1000cc and 600cc under wet conditions.

From 1950 bst / 2050 cet http://tx.sharp-stream.com/tune.php?c=manxradio&.wvx reports live from the Billown circuit with 1000cc race start at 2000 bst / 2100 cet

The 1000cc race was won by Michael Dunlop from Lougher and Buckley. Michael Pearson threw away what looked like a safe 3rd place on last lap.

The 600cc race was abandoned so that the road sweeper can clear the roads. The 600cc race is postponed to tomorrow night for now.

The result of the 1000cc race result was amended after it became clear that the race was redflagged in last lap.
This isn't changing the the top two but instead of Mark Buckley on 3rd there is now Ryan Farquhar.

The full 1000cc Senior race result can be found at http://irishroadracers.smfforfree.co...ic,5978.0.html

Seems like a small grid for the superbike race?
