Barros and Katoh both pushed hard on their two strokes while Capirossi did his usually impressive best.

In the 250cc class, Battaini took pole ahead of Nieto, Melandri and Rolfo. Australia's Casey Stoner was 7th in another impressive display

In the 125cc Nieto Jr. took pole ahead of Vincent, Poggiali and de Angelis.

wow, ribas in last place isnt a surprise, but, what does aprilia need to do to get their bike up there. 19th is embarrasing
