Would it be for the money, the girls, the lifestyle or just the fun of racing?

Personally it would be the challenge of racing against the best (allegedly) in the world and the fun of it. I don't think anybody in their right mind would do it for the money or the other peripherals.

Mhhh.......the money is nice.....and the girls are nice.....But in the end it would be all about racing....and F1 in particular because you're racing against the best in the world.....however I've always dreamed of being a WRC driver.

You can't do it for the money. Usually you have to bring money to be able to drive a Formula One car. The money comes after you start winning.
The girls? What girls? If you think driving in Formula One is the only way to get girls, then I suggest you go out more. Ofcourse it's the fun of racing, and nothing else. |

Definitely for the sheer thrill of the racing.
And winning the WDC for Minardi, of course! |

Well, I want to drive the Panoz LMP 900 at Le Mans - not for the money because there probably wouldn't be much, but for the pleasure of pitting my front wheel drive alien red machine against those Audis and providing at the end of the day who is the best of all. (It would be me. )
But were I to race in F1, whether for Minardi or Ferrari, I'd be in it to give best and be on that top step looking way, way up ... |

If you want to do something in F1 for money I advise to be a team manager. Maybe representative image of Flavio Briatorre inspire you.Why risk your life if you only need money or girls. But if you dream to experience real speed, real taking all the corner which Senna or Prost did, real overtaking at Eau Rouge... You should to become WDC Driver. |

Reasons to be a driver;
1. The exhilaration. 2. The chance to prove you're the best. 3. If you complete 2 successfully, the chance to be paid fabulously for doing something you love. |

money !!!!..never heard of it...girls ..why I have the one I want waiting at home for me...racing..havent seen much of that for a while..its the speed..to quote a line from "days of thunder"..to be able to control something that is almost out of control.
the taming of the beast if you will..the sheer buzz of being able to control a drift exiting say Eau Rouge..or sliding under braking for st devote at monaco..to hear the scream of the engine at 300 kph plus at hockenhiem...and to bash your elbows stupid on the side of the car to the point of bleeding.. I better go now there seems to be an electrical storm starting up. zap zap CHEERS Marcus |

I don't think the Rolling Stones are Americans. And I wouldn't let any of them race for my team. On the other hand, they would probably do well in NASCAR.

They'd still keep the car in a straighter line than Diniz.

I'd do it because I loved racing . . . but I sure as hell wouldn't mind the perks!

Personally if i wanted to compete against the best drivers in the world, i would compete on the world rally stage.
If i wanted pure open wheel racing thrills i would go to CART to race. If i wanted to test my endurance and concentration and make my hands bleed the 12 hours of Sebring would fit the bill. So why do i want to race in Formula 1?.................. I HAVE NO IDEA! |
