As in Hillman Avenger and not John Steed?
A couple of weeks ago I saw what looked like an E36 BMW M3R, which was an 'evolution' style homologation model out here with 15 cars built. Not sure if there are knock-offs getting around, most modified E36's are done in a much more hideous fashion. |

Saw a Ferrari 458 parked on the side of the road last week. I'd seen many pics but never in the flesh, very impressed.

A while ago, a Testarossa passed me on the M4. A very shortlived sighting. For a few seconds there was this almighty V12 racket, then it got stuck behind an Audi A4 for a few seconds. When the slightly shaken A4 driver vacated the outside lane, there was a second burst of a noise that was exactly how i'd imagine one dinosaur raping another dinosaur would sound, and it was gone. I wasn't "failing to make progress" myself, so what speed that thing was doing, I shudder to imagine.

I did see a car i have never seen before in the flesh, a Nissan GTR, i passed it as i was walking along in Bucharest, i am unsure if it was a standard one as it had an unusualy large wing on it, but it didn't look too daft either, as some mods sometimes do!

I've seen one a few of these now. A great looking car. The most surprising thing to me was just how big they are. Seeing them on telly just doesn't quite get across the size of the thing.

Not the greatest car, but certainly unusual - an Ultima GTR joining the A12 at Brentwood yesterday morning. Add that to some sort of American 70s pick-up/saloon thing seen earlier in the Kelvedon area.
I love this time of year - all sorts of classics, rarities and odd balls to be seen on the roads at weekends on their way to owners club meetings while I'm on the way to Brands, Silverstone, etc. |

Most memorable was a Bentley blower driving down the M5 near worcester about 10 years back. Heard the unbelievable sound first followed by the sight of this thing with its driver all dressed up like Biggles doing about 100 mph down the outside lane. Nothing else since has come close.
