Hi, we are in our 2nd season of CSCC Tintops and love it. Its a very friendly atmosphere in the paddock and the racing is kept as clean as possible.

We run in Class A but all the classes are well suported and have great racing.

Read some of our race reports on our website, to get an idea of whatthe races are like.

I have raced for 20 years, the last 4 with CSCC, albeit in their Future Classics, rather than TT’s.

I would say the organization is excellent, efficient without being too restrictive, the racing hard but clean, and a really good atmosphere in the paddock – people really do help each other out – yes, even their competitors!

The 40 minute 1 or 2 driver format with ‘win’ penalties evens things out well over the course of a season.

Overall, an excellent balance of value and good close racing, CSCC thoroughly recommended.

Hi

We too are in our 2nd season of CSCC Tin Tops and absolutely love it.

Last year we were in a fairly standard Fiesta XR2i and had battles pretty much every race with similar spec cars. This year we have moved onto a Puma 1600 and are mid pack still having some great battles, it doesn't matter what you are driving or whther you are at the front or the back of the pack you'll still have a great race.

As others have said it's clean friendly racing and the atmosphere in the paddock is brilliant.

You also get the opportunity to race at Spa Francorchamps in the Spa Summer Classic which is what sold it for us, we're already planning our 3rd trip over there next year.

Other opportunities opened up by the CSCC last year were an interseries race on the Brands Hatch GP circuit and also a first for me a night race at Donington which was brilliant fun.

What car will you be out in?

I have done two races with them now, Anglesey and Mallory.
I race a Peugeot 106 in class C, and am a 'single' driver.
The series comes very highly reccomended from me.
Previously I was in a championship where I was being lapped after 5 laps or so. I wasnt enjoying it, spent a lot of time looking in my mirrors and getting out the way of the (very fast) leaders!
In Tin Tops you will find that no matter what your pace is there will be someone to have a dice with.
From what I've seen so far it is very clean with no contact.
I was absolutely gutted to miss Silverstone, and can't wait to be out at Oulton.

I have been racing with the TinTops for the first time this year having come from another Series.
I am also in class C as Mike above, up or down the classes, there always appears to be someone to race against.
CSCC is well organised and a friendly paddock.

Best thing to do, is get to one of the races and chat to the drivers and watch the racing.

What are you planning on racing ?

I was the same when I 1st joined in a Peugeot 306 battling for the lower places, its not the place for lowish power cars

This will be our second season in tin tops and we think its pretty good - although obviously if we were winning every meeting it would be a brilliant series!!

Good bunch of people and very fair and reasonable racing, some rubbing, but all pretty good fun. There are some very trick cars up the front of the grid so depends what you want - outright wins will cost you!!

The 2 driver scenario is great for cost cutting and the club seem good to me.

what car you driving?
