When they mentioned about the 20mins for the VIP laps on sunday afternoon I just wanted to do the following , surly it would have been better to put them at the end considering the formula fords were last out and the light was fading pretty quickly. Did enjoy the racing though. Was plenty of action through out the weekend. |

VIP laps last would only have got in the way of the rescue guys collecting radios and it's unfair to delay anybody!
Who are these VIPs anyway - never give any places to marshals do they? I'd be happier if that sort of time-wasting was moved onto the Friday test day. They were originally timetabled for lunch break, but that vanished along with plenty more time throughout the day. No lunch break & despite no Church Break either, it still over-ran - money winning over commonsense again? Don't blame it on the extra green flag laps, because that should have already been allowed for at an autumn meeting. On a positive note - good to have all of the taster day folk stay for the afternoon session on the bank, even better to see some of the Saturday folk out to play on Sunday too Many thanks to all of the people we visited who took the trouble to speak about the role they played. |

This just proves how necessary the church break really is, even at a poorly supported event my guess is there will be many more people at Silverstone than in all of the churches that may be affected by noise from the circuit. |

Great weekend at Becketts Centre. Plenty of spinners & sliders. A special thanks to the Lambo driver (51 i think) on Saturday for putting it in the gravel facing the right way for an easy peasy snatch
A big thanks to Rob, Pete, Adrian & Chris for their valuable wisdom. |

Yes, Good day on Sunday on the pit wall Flaggie post 17.. Great to be able to see the pit stops and plenty of blueing throughout the 3hr event.
One crazy thing for me was the apparant lack of danger in the live pit lane.. We had grid girls, F3 teams and members of the garages just parading about without a care in the world in a live pit lane... From my perspective we were lucky not to have an incident. Great Job done by pit lane marshal`s though to ensure it was clear for the start of each race. Including the Fork Lift truck lifting a team stand off the pit wall in between races.. Madness See ya this weekend for a bit of BTCC end of season "bashery".. P.s. if anybody has 1 spare ticket they could post me would you please let me know.. Don`t fancy having to choose mum or dad for my plus 1.... Cheers in advance Rich |
