anthony goberts unlucky break....
"the goshow" broke his fibula/tibia (the small bone in lower leg ) in qualifying for rounds 6 & 7 at road atlanta's big kahuna double header. he had just posted fastest times in both superbike and supersport - may race sunday
gomick's message - get out of there anthony and get on a moto gp bike, tell yamaha that you will replace biaggi ps : once his leg heals ofcourse! |

Gobert is ANOTHER Australian who just hasn't had the lucky break needed, although a couple of times he's almost had it but he ruined it himself (I remember the marujuina incident)
But has the Goshow's time passed for international competition? |

I hope not. I like many others loved him in the Nineties backing into corners on the Kawasaki. Then the 2000 Philip Island win on a Bimota. The guy has huge talent. Just lets the chips fall right for him and some established guys are out of the seat.

Yeah him smoking a bit of weed when she probably shouldn't have, done him no favours. I would really like to see him get back in to the world superbikes.

Agrrrh, so bad. he did say in the interview that he wants to go back to GP, and he regreted he was partying when he sould have concentrated to the race.
Nicky won race 1 today. Honda would have to give him a ride in GP next year coz it's more than certain that he will win title this year. He also wants to go to GP next year |

you gotta have a pretty clean record to get into motogp.
Just due to his past I doubt he'll ever get a GP ride. motogp's Bad Boys aren't that BAD Love to be proven wrong, and I do think we'll see him in Superbikes again one day. |

loved Gobert's interview on RPM, he said that he didn't really want to be racing in the US, but he only wanted to go MotoGP or Workd sbk if he had a good bike (meaning 4 stroke & V Twin), then went on to say that while the 750s are uncompetitive in the world SBK, they are competitive in the AMA's because there aren't any good riders on the twins in the US.
