Richard Duvall should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I don't understand why they don't start at 09:00! I'll be along only on Saturday; I know they are short for the quali on Friday but It's not worth me stopping Friday night if there's nothing to stopover for on Sunday. Last year Victor Meldrew was on the Sunday which made it a good weekend. Last of the season for me.

what's 5 minutes between friends?
Possibly to allow for a green flag lap / rolling start or whatever?

on the nose...

No track activity till 0900,
so out of assembly at 0900, grid up, rolling start to red lights out at 0905

assembly marshals' easiest day of the year.

I seem to have volunteered for Friday as well, Not sure how that happened, But at least I should be nice and comfy by the time the "part timers" arrive. The timetable does look a little, er, bare but it does look as if even I might be able to work out what's going on for a change (I will be the one with my post number written on my hand as usual)

Will these be posted up around Hailwoods and the Kentagon so we can follow the timetable?

The organisers really should have sussed out the straightforward tech for lighting the car numbers, only one of the cars managed it and that didn't make it into the dark, it looked like there was a light in the wing mirror (couldn't get much easier) How many people worked out that there was actually a nail biting finish for the Elise trophy?, not too many I would guess as it was almost impossible to tell one car from another. Interesting day though. Thanks to all on 22 for an enlightening day. (and to the car that made the worlds slowest impact with a Marshals post ever)

The 3rd and 4th place were for the class win and was a gradual wind in over the course of 20 or more laps, a tenth or two at a time. Audibly quite exiting but, as I said, unfortunately invisible.

I recall that for last year's "Britcar into the Night" they had luminous numbers.

Post 3 for putting up with a northern accent.

MSVR for free breckie on Saturday.

Lotus teams for free bottle of plonk + nosebag on Saturday evening + some fun racing.

Everyone at Brands for making the 10 hour round trip very worthwhile and enjoyable.

I hope you all have a great season next year.

Best regards

Phil

MSVR must have been mad, as they let me have a go at wrecking a temperary Fire 1, I failed and gave it back at end of day.

But I notice you gave the heater a good test out, just to see if it worked of course

I stood in on Fire 2 for a short while, how scary was that!

Nice to see you all as I came round during the afternoon to thank you all on behalf of Paul Golding who runs the Elise Trophy and other Lotus series. Unfortunately Paul broke his ankle a few months ago and was unable to walk round to thank you personally.
