Further to my message to Marcus, Jeremy Broad who acquired the car in the late 1970s, advised that the car already had the headrest and original style front when he purchased it. It would be really interesting to learn who purchased the car from Gold Seal in 1962.
I have a photo of the car being raced by a F.P.Russell at Boreham in the 1950s with a lip below the front of the car, which may have been removed by the time Eric found it. |

I will have to send it to you direct, as my computer skills do not extend to posting the photo on the web. All the best Marcus |

Many thanks Marcus, my computer skills are just as bad, so I'll send you the 1962 advert once I receive your email. - Michael

I have an Alta supercharger spare if an Alta engine owner requires one. I have just bought an Alta engined car that comes with two superchargers already fitted.

To Roadmap,
If by chance you have any photos of the Alta engined car you purchased, could you publish them on this site. Presume the car you purchased is a single seater? regards - MGH |

Going through my records, I note that Tom Meyer/ Fotheringham-Parker finished 7th in the 1950 Paris 12 hr race in an Alta.
Could by any chance this be MPB 77, since Tom Meyer raced this car in the Empire Trophy IOM, in 1950. |

A bit of a resurrection but yesterday I found this photo of MPB 77 which I took at Donington in 1998.

For MPB 77 fans- Here she is outside the Albany (next to the Royal Academy, Picadilly), in September 2011 with present owner Charly Willems and first private owner, Tom Meyer.
