The crash in question involved former Formula 1 racer Juan Pablo Montoya and a jet dryer truck, which was parked at the top of the circuit.
The race was under a yellow-flag caution while Montoya, looking to dash around the circuit to catch up with the back of the pack, lost control of his car as he approached the turn where the jet dryer was parked.  This was a quote from the mirror newspaper website, i was reading the paper just momments ago, when i read in the paper itself "the crash happened with the dryer, which was on track to dry the track after heavy rain" Heavy rain was 24 hrs before the crash |
