Gordon you can book it online and get a really good discount but as Snetterton is an ex airfield you have to pay airport tax. As the race is 6 hours this equates to a flight to the US so the tax will be quite high on this one.

Hmm. Dubious Tim. I think it would only apply to travellers who get all four wheels off (the ground). If not then spectators and pit crews would also need to be charged too surely, in the interests of 'fairness' naturally.

Presumably this could be collected quite easily as an 'Exit' tax at the end of the meeting? (That way the length of stay element of the tax would be beneficial to the tax authorities ...)

They could have a video camera fitted at the entrance and exit showing arrival/departure just like ASDA IN TUNBRIDGE WELLS who fined my missus 60 quid last week for being 10 minutes over

Have you checked the legality of the penalty Gordon?

Personally I think I would undertake to visit the store quite regularly, fill 2 trolleys, get to the checkout, process it all and then discover I had left my wallet at home.

It might not help recover the monetary theft but would offer some satisfaction. Especially if repeated a few times. Probably worth finding a fiver somewhere to pay for one or two items - one could then take ages to decide which ones one could afford.

If I had the time I would pursue it further, but as in all of these cases the fine goes up and up if you don't pay it.
However this isn't the thread to debate what to do in this case.
Although it was in one of my cars and I got the fine Sue has paid it as I refused, she wont use them again !

This looks great Claire, real synergy of brands, hopefully you can persuade them to provide some logo'd clothing to our "Easy Marshals", you'd need something different for the Easy Clerks and Easy Stewards but I'm sure you'll be able to work something out...

Gordon, in future tell her to bin the ticket and don't get into any correspondence with them whatsoever. Their contract is with the driver of the car and you don't have to provide any details of the driver. It's a parking charge notice not a penalty notice so it can be ignored.

The only trouble is that the before and after picture taken from the front show a long blond haired female driving
Anyway it looks like I jumped the gun in blaming ASDA , after a good thrashing she now tells me that it was the car park next door that she was nabbed in.
Serves her right she should have driven the car the whole 20 yards into the ASDA car park after taking ages sodding about next door and "actually walking" all that way to get the provisions to keep me fed ! case closed
