Watching all the action late so just caught up with it now.
What was the reason for the caution? Coverage was a bit of a mess. But you had to laugh at some of the challenge class driving. Was pretty impressed with David Heinemeier Hansson and his performance in the OAK. He's a pretty interesting guy if you look at his wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Heinemeier_Hansson Interesting to see him entered for OAK at Spa alongside a TBA. Still quite a places need filling in their cars so I wouldn't be surprised to see him make his Le Mans debut in June. Anyone know more? |

Did they change the curbing at Turn 5 (I think), or were the guys just using it more liberally this year than in the past?

He was taken on by Jetalliance last year and they were very impressed with the way he applied himself and took in what the engineers said and improved... he was reputed to have been as quick as Karl Wendlinger at the race in Silverstone |

That corner worker is in view of cars coming into the blind corner where the incident occurred. After the car gets going again, it crosses the to other side of the track where it is NOT visible to oncoming traffic. The corner worker should be waving a local yellow to alert oncoming traffic of his presence coming back onto the racing line from a dead stop.

They are already in GA. Not in pure official form but the teams running vette-boyworked DPs have connections and I think GM is happy enough with Camaros running in GT. There's also that old Marsh-run privateer Corvette that sees success every once and a while.
Corvette is of course staying in ALMS, especially as they'll be finally getting some domestic competition in form of Viper It's a simple plan Chevrolet doesn't wanna break... Cadillac in SCCA WC Camaro in GA Corvette in ALMS |
