Since the certain driver is not entered, I guess I need to start this one.

Please see the Jayski Format Section for format, because I don't have time to understand the format and reiterate here; copy and paste in lame.

Is driver voting over? We know who'll win if he doesn't make the show by racing in....

Kyle is on the pole for the All Star race while Kahne crashes during his q-ing run and will start from the rear. Newman, Hamlin, Biffle, Harvick, Johnson, Meneard, Gordon, Stewart and Smith make up the top 10 starters.

The 'dinger grabs the pole for the Showdown followed by Jr and JR .

Green flag for the Showdown 746pm EST. The madness starts hours before on SPEED. I wonder if the Nature Boy will give command again this year.

The Dinger has a flat as they come to the Green in The Showdown, but mows down the field to come in second behind the #88 to transfer to the All-Star race.

Bobby Labonte gets the fan vote.

Indeed...besides being Charlotte at night, it was a bit of a bore, with the best laps being the first 20, seeing the Dinger cap off a charge from the rear to second.

After a q-ing race, they need to have two 2 segments. Big money for segment one; then invert the field...

My idea (posted a few years back on SPEED.com after Rusty won after sandbagging prior to the inverted segment)

Invert EVERY segment, and pay according to starting position. Start at the front and win? You get $10,000. Start at the back and win? $1 million.

THAT would force everyone to race hard all night long.

Johnson did well, AJ was the star. Jr was unlucky to get shuffled back.

I actually couldn't imagine anyone going through the effort to vote for Danica. Danica fans think she's pretty, they don't think she's going to win anything - surely!

The used to do that a long time ago. The best format was 30, 30, 10.
