I was disappointed in that article, it would have been nice to hear more about how the car drove around a complete lap. There wasn't that much in the article about the actual driving experience.

So I finally tracked down a copy of the Grp C issue. I live in a small town where only one newsagent carries Autosport so had to wait until they got the latest issue. A quick flick through is impressive for the amount of content. Can't wait to put my feet up tonight and have a good read.

I didn't get into sportscars until the turn of the century and was just a kid when Grp c was around so got a lot of catching up to do on the category despite however much I've learnt so far. Awesome machines.

I hear you as I actually thought the same thing. I guess I was just happy to have a special edition like this.

Nick49 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hello

A bit late with this one but I really enjoyed Autosport's retrospective on Group C. I was there from the start and did a lot of travelling around Europe to watch it until I got married in 1987.

I also thought this was much better than Motor Sport Magazine's version so well done.

Think there's a really interesting point at the end here. Motor Sport has, for quite a while, felt it's got a complete lock on the motor racing retrospective side of things, and there are some features like "Lunch With" that are peerless, but for Autosport to come up with an issue that is certainly a match, and quite possibly better, than something with a green cover has got to be a healthy pointer to Motor Sport that there's no excuse for complacency.
