First the Relevant Facts and figures that determine the points…

All 24 Cars qualified within the 107%

There were No Grid drop penalties to be applied.

Qualifying bonuses for Constructors having both cars in Q3 go to McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull. The Engine supplier bonuses go to Mercedes, Ferarri and Renault for each powering 2 different constructors into Q3.

There was only 1 leader of the race, Vettel. He receives 1 bonus point. Vettel receives the bonus for leading the most laps, as do Red Bull for Constructor and Renault for Engine supplier.

Fastest lap went to Button taking the bonus points for himself, and McLaren for constructor and Mercedes for engine supplier.

The top 2 engines from each supplier, powering different constructors are colour coded for easy reference.

Of the two who were classified non finishers; De La Rosa spun off due to brake issue whilst Perez suffered damage from a puncture. As such, there are no penalties to be applied.

Onto the results…

Race 17 another new winner! Hairy Dog Racing takes the honours with 67 points, second was Blue Hawk Racing with 65 and sharing third place with 61 points were Moral Victors and SBF Racing. At this stage it’s important to note that next up was Redneck Racing with 57 points.

This means that in the Overall,
Redneck Racing keeps the lead with 917 points, Moral Victors closes the gap to just 4 points with a running total of 913 points. Team AWB stays third but drops back a bit with 896 points.

Fourth place sees Rotary Wankell consolidate their position with 784 but a poor round by Duke Grand Prix Engineering sees them drop a place and fall into the midst of a now 6 team battle for 5th place (Leopold Racing 5th – 737pts) in which the 6 teams are covered by less than 30 points.

in a surprise move SuperChilli F1 has been bought out by Mercedes and has decided to spend the remainder of the season moving downward in the standings!
