[DV8SC12-R06] Dunlop Development Series, Winton 16-18 Nov
Time for a new challenge for the development series... in Sunny Winton.
It should be sunny in spring anyway Some new cars and pilots appearing this round apparently... Will be interesting to see if Mr Youlden can take an ex-FPR FG to greater heights than its former pilot, and get MWM back to its winning ways... Or perhaps someone new in at MSR... still TBC... While hopefully Bathurst crash participants Mr Russell & Mr Kiss are working hard to return to this round.. after lotsa $$ and hours and TLC to return their steeds to their former glory.. So who might win.. Mr Percat? |

I think Chaz Mostert will win and Scott Mclaughlin second then Luke Youlden a close third.

Mr Mostert will be up front sumwhere, but I think one Mr A Jones will stick his head up the front as well, plus Percat.

Elliot Barbour has switched teams and will drive with Matthew White Motorsport, driving the BF Falcon driven by Luke Youlden this year.
Youlden will drive Tim Blanchard’s FG Falcon. http://www.speedcafe.com/2012/11/13/...ms-for-winton/ |

Glen Wood will replace Barbour in the ex-GRM VEII.

Hi, can I ask a really backwards question, Ive watched V8 Supercars for many years and love it but have no idea what the Dunlop Development Series is and trawling the web hasnt really helped fill me in. So, what exactly is it? Im guessing its like the Aussie equivalent of the Nationwide series of NASCAR? Are the cars just old V8 Supercars?

Some interesting times in the field... drivers on new tyres, some on old ones... who is actually genuinely quick?
Interesting to see Mr A.Russell quicker than Mr D.Russell this weekend.. |

So.. two races down.. 4 more to do for the year.. .. and there are still 5 drivers with a shot at the title.. Mr Mostert has seemingly borrowed the FPR 'shoot yourself in the foot' book... and followed it chapter & verse, while the rest of the field seems to mix it up with braille-style passing manoeuvres in every single race 4 races to go... a champion to be named.... half a pack of cigarettes... hit it! |
