Which organisation did the timing? Not on tsl-timing's site.
I've seen some of the pics - looked certainly damp. Also - looking at the entries on this page, Nick Williamson Escort Cosworth 2000cc in with the 1400-2000cc stuff, but the Renault GT Turbo is in the 2000cc and up, which I would have thought would have been the home of Nick's Cossie? Or was he running it sans blower? Judging by the double win - blown! Guessing that Tim Watson was probably chasing in 2nd then! |

'Twas a tad muddy out around the circuit but I was quite impressed that despite the amount of earth shifting that has been going on at Mallory in the past 18 months or so the main tracks were basically still solid. Heck of a lot of potholes which is hardly a surprise but still firm below the surface.
For once the Weather App on my phone was just about spot on. The hourly forecast for the day had been telling me for 24 hours or so that it would rain at around 2pm and sure enough, 2.10 pm was when the odd spots changed to something more substantial. Good to meet up with Cliff, Daniel and Al. Great dice with the Mini in the first race - for just about the whole race I think wasn't it? Not many spills (that I saw) from the cars or the bikes which was quite remarkable given the conditions. The slippery track seemed to persist all day until it became simply very wet. Congratulations to the team running the event - very slick I thought given the mix and the conditions. Good crowd too. No doubt the sun in the morning helped a little but most people seemed to stay to the end or nearly the end judging by the amount of traffic still leaving after the last race. |

The results should appear here soon:
http://www.sportstimingservices.com/...cat=9&open=166 A great day's racing - plenty of overtaking: the three-car dice for the lead in the second saloon race being a highlight! |

Although i sympathise with having failed noise testing in a Triumph Spitfire at Mallory this year and missed all but two laps of practice sorting it out. Its hard for the noise testers to test for anti-lag systems dumping fuel on the over-run |
